🟣 Beelzebub’s Tales Glossary Project — Volunteers Welcome

I’m developing what may become the most complete terminological reference ever assembled for Beelzebub’s Tales to His Grandson — a systematic mapping of Gurdjieff’s specialized vocabulary across all 48 chapters.

The current glossary includes over 850 defined terms, with approximately 100 new “accordion” entries now being added through detailed chapter-by-chapter analysis. When finished, this expanded edition will cover expressions like essence-friend, Hlodistomaticules, common-integral-vibration, and many others rarely treated in existing sources.

This phase focuses on verification — ensuring that every chapter and page reference matches the 1950 first edition precisely.

What’s needed:
• Volunteers to spot-check glossary entries against the source text
• Simple correction notes such as “Entry shows (26.359) but should be (26.358)”
• No prior expertise in Gurdjieff’s system required — just a careful eye

I think of this as terminological archaeology — carefully excavating Gurdjieff’s entire technical language to create the reference tool this monumental text deserves.
